One Simple Way to Add More Value to Your Packaging
You already have your boxes, pouches or labels printed.
Then you decide to add care instructions, a promotion, a recipe, a thank-you note, or a QR code.
You could change the packaging.
Or you could simply add a printed insert.

Keep the Packaging. Change the Message.
For a small product brand, that flexibility can be useful.
A coffee roaster might use the same bag and label all year but change the insert from brewing tips to a holiday offer.
A food producer could add a recipe.
A skincare brand could include simple product instructions.
An online retailer might use the space for a thank-you or reorder message.
The main packaging stays consistent. The smaller printed piece changes when you need it to.
That can be much easier than redesigning and reprinting the package every time the message changes.
It Doesn't Need to Be Complicated
A simple card is often enough.
Something like a 4 × 6 insert gives you room for a short message without taking over the package.
Before designing it, check the actual space inside the box or pouch. A card that looks small on
screen can still be awkward once you try to fit it into the finished package.
A few other things are worth thinking about:
If customers need to write on it, an uncoated stock may work better.
If you are using a QR code, test it at the actual printed size.
If the card needs to feel more substantial, use a heavier stock.
Keep important text comfortably away from the trim edge.
If fit matters, test one inside the actual package before printing the full quantity.
One Piece, One Job
An insert does not need to explain your entire business.
It just needs to do one useful thing.
That might be helping the customer use the product, giving them a reason to reorder or simply making the package feel a little more complete.
For a small brand, that flexibility can be more valuable than making the packaging more elaborate.
Keep the box, pouch or label consistent.
Change the insert when the message changes.
